May Meeting: Independent Filmmakers Convention

Join us on Tuesday the 28th for an overview and discussion of the upcoming Independent Filmmakers Convention to be held in Bloomington June 7th through 9th.

Please note that the parking directly outside the Innovation Center has changed while they are working on the parking lot. You'll still be able to park, but it will be at the lot a little further north.

April Meeting: Directing Talent

Hello fellow IFN folks! Our apologies for the delay in the announcement of the April meeting, but the end of semester tie-ups have been "fun".

Please join us for our April meeting where we will be discussing "Directing Talent from Behind the Camera." Russell McGee will lead you through open directing scenes and introduce you to terminology and methods of speaking and working with your talent. This will give you a starting place to enable you to learn how to work collaboratively with an actor and minimize creative differences that come from breakdowns in communication.

February Meeting: FILM Indiana presentation

Join us for a presentation by the director of FILM Indiana, Erin Newell Schneider.

Film Indiana’s mission is to showcase the state’s talent and available resources to local and out-of-state production companies and individuals seeking information and assistance with commercial, film, and television production.

We provide the following services:

• The Indiana Production Directory features crew, equipment rental facilities, production companies and various other support services.
• The Indiana Locations Database includes all that Indiana has to offer as a backdrop for any type of project. From downtown Indianapolis to the beaches at the Indiana Dunes to rolling farmlands and sports stadiums, we've got what you need.
• Film Indiana does not require a permit from our office and will serve as your friendly liaison with local, county and state government for any other permitting needs.

Film Indiana works to raise awareness and support the community by organizing industry networking events, advising local filmmakers and promoting our state’s wide array of film festivals.
